Era was in urgent need of medical care. Thanks to our community of animal lovers, she received special treatments to help her recover and find her love story.
Named in her honor, Era’s Fund will provide medical care for animals in need like her and give them their best chance to heal.

Our shelter population is changing and we are seeing an increase in the volume of animals with complex medical concerns like dental disease, diabetes, infections, and heart disease.
ARL treats every animal as an individual, determining the appropriate care plan based on the needs of each animal.
In 2023, ARL’s veterinary team performed 9,034 exams and rechecks, and 7,557 surgeries.
About Era
Era came to ARL after being found in a shed, suffering from severe burns on more than half her body. She was in a great deal of pain and faced a long road to recovery. Over the course of four months, she received special treatments to help her heal, the cost of which exceeded $20,000. This level of care is not possible without your support!
